Rockets vs. Jazz LiVe Stream FrEE HD TV
The 2019 NBA Playoffs have already been an intense affair and the Houston Rockets will be dealt a stiff test in the elevation of Salt Lake City when they take on the Utah Jazz in Game 3 on Saturday night at 10:30 p.m. ET. Utah went 29-12 at the Vivint Smart Home Arena during the regular season and it will look to use that home-court advantage to put an end to Houston's dominance of the series after two blowouts back on the Gulf Coast. Utah is a two-point favorite with the over-under total for points scored at 216 in the latest Rockets vs. Jazz odds. But before you make your NBA Playoffs 2019 predictions for Saturday, be sure to check out the Rockets vs. Jazz picks from the proven computer model at SportsLine. The model, which simulates every game 10,000 times, is crushing its NBA picks. It entered Week 27 of the 2018-19 NBA season with a sterling 294-242 record on all top-rated picks, returning more than $3,500 in profit to anybody following them. And it has been particularly red-hot on its A-rated NBA picks against the spread, entering Week 27 on a strong 77-62 run. Anybody who has followed it is way up.
Now, it has set its sights on Rockets vs. Jazz. We can tell you it's leaning over, but it's also generated a strong against the spread pick that hits in well over 50 percent of simulations. You absolutely need to see it before locking in any NBA picks of your own.
For Saturday's matchup, the model knows that being back at home is a big deal for the Jazz. Utah averaged 1.8 more points per game and allowed 3.3 fewer points per game at home this season and it beat Houston by 27 points behind 50.6 percent shooting while holding the Rockets to 38.6 percent shooting back in December.
The Rockets shot just 23.1 percent from the 3-point line in their two losses in Houston despite ranking 10th in the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage (35.6). So look for Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Kyle Korver and company to heat up from distance back home in Utah to give the Rockets a more competitive game.
That being said, don't assume that improved shooting makes Utah a lock to cover the Rockets vs. Jazz spread in the NBA Playoffs 2019.
Defense has been key for the Rockets of late, as they held the Jazz to less than 40 percent shooting in each of their two wins back in Houston. They'll look to continue flustering Utah by running them off spots, and if they can continue to disrupt the Jazz's rhythm offensively, it should go a long way towards them covering as road underdogs.
Clint Capela has been a force for the Rockets, averaging 11.5 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks per game so far in this playoff series. His ability to impact play at the rim is key in Houston limiting Utah's shot quality, and he'll be a key figure again on Saturday night.
Who wins Game 3 of Jazz vs. Rockets? And which side of the spread hits in well over 50 percent of simulations?
